ABC Family and I. Marlene King Developing New Drama From The Author of Pretty Little Liars Novels

Pretty Little Liars has to end eventually, but the ABC Family mystery won't be over — PLL showrunner I. Marlene King is developing a new mystery series based on another Sara Shepard book series, The Perfectionists.

Take a group of girlfriends, add a murder, a dash of revenge and what do you got? The perfect recipe for an ABC Family mystery series. While the concept may sound familiar *cough* Pretty Little Liars *cough* that's because it is. The network's new drama project, The Perfectionists, not only has the same showrunner on board, I. Marlene King, BUT it's also based off a book series by the same writer as the PLL novels, Sara Shepard. The Perfectionists follows five teenage girls who plot the murder of a man, however their victim is killed but they had NOTHING to do with his murder! Do you think this series could have the same success as PLL or do you think we have another Lying Game on our hands? Sound off in the comments and stick with us at Celebified for more of the latest TV scoop.
